Due to limitations of no online connectivity and no multiplayer functionality as of yet, several evolutions have been changed that required trading and other functionality that hasn't been implemented into the game engine. While Pokemon Generations will remain true to the original games in the series, it's large Pokedex with the option of collecting past the original 151 and new story elements in this direct-sequel to 1998 releases Pokemon Red and Blue are incorporated to add additional features which aid in replayability and entice the player to continue playing after completing the story.
Here is a complete list of the evolutions that have been changed:
Eevee -> Leafeon via Leaf Stone
Electabuzz -> Electivire via Thunder Stone
Magmar -> Magmortar via Fire Stone
Magneton -> Magnezone via Thunder Stone
Rhydon -> Rhyperior via Protector
Nosepass -> Probopass via Moon Stone
Poliwhirl -> Politoed via King's Rock
Slowpoke -> Slowking via King's Rock
Porygon -> Porygon2 via Up-Grade
Porygon2 -> PorygonZ via Dubious Disc
Onix -> Steelix via Metal Coat
Scyther -> Scizor via Metal Coat
Seadra -> Kingdra via Dragon Scale
Kirlia -> Gallade via Dawn Stone (regardless of Gender)
Graveler -> Golem via Moon Stone
Dusclops -> Dusknoir via Dusk Stone
Haunter -> Gengar via Dusk Stone
I'm not one for giving out spoilers, but I will say that Machoke's evolution into Machamp hasn't been changed due to the inclusion of an in-game trade with an NPC which will see the player trade away a Cubone (which can be caught in the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town) for a Machoke.
Anyway, to finish up, I won't be on over the next few days due to a Christmas break, but Vermilion City has been complete and I'm hoping to get some screenshots up on here around the 28th/29th of December, and I will commence development on Route 11, Route 9, Route 10, Rock Tunnel and the Diglett Cave throughout January.
Merry Christmas.

Pokemon Generations Developer's Diary #1
So, what have I done in the last few days? Well, everything that has been done so far is at the planning stages. Notably, how far the game will go, how will it be released/updated and the features within the game itself.
Everything that I had previously stated on Facebook earlier this year, notably some humour, dialogue choices and the option to join Team Rocket is the integral part of this game. For the first time in a Pokemon experience, your character belongs to you. Their personality is built on your decisions and the game's story, aftermath and the NPCs react to you according to your decisions throughout the game.
But outwith the 10+ hour story of travelling through Kanto and taking down Team Rocket (or joining them), seven of the eight Kanto gyms return and act as the boss battles of the game. Defeating these eight gym leaders, defeating the "Elite Four" to become Pokemon Champion, and defeating Giovanni of Team Rocket sums up the main quest of the game.
Ontop of these basic outlines, the world is at your feet. All of the original 151 Pokemon are obtainable in Pokemon Generations, and it's really just a game of catch them all. The Pokemon able to be caught is expanded by travelling to other locations in the game (which I will come to at the time) and using the Safari Zone which will contain a number of Pokemon exclusive to that area.
The battle system for Pokemon Generations is loosely based on the battle system of modern Pokemon games, but lacks a number of features that may be added in the future. Alot of gameplay elements from previous official Pokemon instalments is included but there are other features missing that may be added in the future aswell, but that would involve engine-level scripting to be updated and that could essentially be a game-breaker.
Let's talk an initial release date. If all goes according to plan, an initial version which will be playable with several locations, Pokemon to catch, Gyms to conquer, and hopefully a good part of the story will be released in August 2012. From Winter 2012, regular updates will be released, and the game will constantly evolve and be worked on in bite-size chunks in the future. This is solely in the interest of time.

Introduction
Hello all. Welcome to my blog. The reason behind my creation of this blog is to talk about and showcase all of my Games Developments, Technology Implementations, Creative Writing tries, YouTube videos. Anything I have in development will have news posted in here. I hope you will all follow my work in the months to come as I lead into 2012 with the rebirth of my previous "Pokemon Power Adventure" game, which I will work on the name and have a logo at some point in the new year.
Firstly though, a small portfolio of my previous works in pictures:
